Stora Stokkavatnet is a sizable lake just outside Stavanger, surrounded by wooded hills and open moorland. Visitors can walk or cycle on well-marked trails that loop around the water, offering peaceful views and opportunities for birdwatching. The lake is also a favorite for anglers, with perch and trout among the catches. Benches and picnic areas are scattered along the route, making it easy to pause and enjoy the natural setting. In summer, the trails are lush and green; in winter, they may be icy but still accessible with proper footwear.
