Birkebeineren Ski Stadium is a premier cross-country skiing venue in Lillehammer, constructed for the 1994 Winter Olympics. It features a network of groomed trails suitable for classic and skate skiing, and is the starting point for the famous Birkebeinerrennet, a 54-kilometer race commemorating a historic royal rescue. In summer, the trails convert to hiking and biking paths. Visitors can ski or walk the same routes used by Olympic athletes, with the stadium's grandstands offering a sense of the competitive atmosphere.
