Kjelfossen is a powerful waterfall near Gudvangen, plunging a total of 840 meters in three stages. The falls are easily accessible from the main road, making them a popular photo stop. During spring melt, the water volume is at its peak, creating a thunderous roar. The mist from the falls often creates rainbows on sunny days, adding to the spectacle.
