St Mary's Church (Mariakirken) is the oldest surviving building in Bergen, dating from around 1130–1170. This Romanesque stone church features a striking twin-tower west facade, rare in Norway. Inside, visitors can see a beautifully carved stone pulpit and a medieval altarpiece. The church has served the German Hanseatic community in the past and still holds regular services. Its peaceful interior and historical significance make it a must-see for history enthusiasts.
