Mavrovo Lake, created by damming the Radika River in the 1950s, is a stunning artificial reservoir nestled among forested peaks. Its crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding mountains, creating a serene setting for outdoor activities. Visitors can rent rowboats or kayaks, try their hand at fishing for trout, or simply stroll along the shoreline. The lake is a popular spot for picnics and photography, especially during sunset when the light paints the landscape in warm hues. In winter, the frozen lake becomes a picturesque backdrop for snow sports.
