Big Rock is a colossal glacial erratic boulder left behind by retreating glaciers thousands of years ago, now sitting prominently on the coastline south of Greymouth. The rock is estimated to weigh several tonnes and stands out against the beach and sea, making it a popular photo stop and curiosity for visitors.
