The West Coast Wilderness Trail is a premier multi-day cycle route connecting Greymouth to Ross, traversing some of New Zealand's most pristine landscapes. Riders follow historic gold-mining water races, cross swingbridges over deep gorges, and pedal through lush podocarp forest. The trail is well-graded, suitable for most fitness levels, with plenty of rest stops and accommodation along the way. Highlights include the Kawhaka Pass, Lake Kaniere, and the Treetop Walkway near Hokitika.
