The Stadhouderlijk Hof, or Stadholder's Court, is a stately 16th-century palace in the heart of Leeuwarden. Originally built as a residence for the stadtholders of Friesland, it later housed the Dutch royal family during their visits to the province. Today, the building serves as a prestigious event venue, hosting weddings, conferences, and cultural gatherings. Visitors can admire its elegant facade, grand halls, and the surrounding courtyard. While the interior is not always open to the public, the exterior and the adjacent gardens offer a glimpse into Leeuwarden's aristocratic past. The palace's central location makes it an easy addition to any walking tour of the city.
