The Cathedral of St Bavo, also known as the KoepelKathedraal, is a stunning neo-Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral built between 1895 and 1930. Its most distinctive feature is the massive copper dome, which dominates Haarlem's skyline. Inside, visitors are greeted by soaring vaulted ceilings, intricate stained glass windows, and a grand altar. The cathedral houses a famous Cavaillé-Coll organ, one of the largest in the Netherlands, often used for concerts. The crypt contains a museum with religious artifacts. Despite its grandeur, the cathedral maintains a serene atmosphere, inviting quiet reflection.
