Teuge Airfield is a small regional airport located about 10 kilometers south of Apeldoorn, known primarily for recreational aviation. It is one of the few places in the Netherlands where visitors can experience skydiving, with tandem jumps available for beginners and experienced jumpers alike. The airfield also offers scenic flights over the Veluwe, a vast nature reserve with heathlands, forests, and sand drifts. During these flights, you can spot wildlife such as deer and wild boar from above. The airfield has a café with a terrace overlooking the runway, making it a pleasant spot to watch planes take off and land. On weekends, the airfield is lively with private pilots and flying clubs. For those interested in aviation, the on-site museum displays vintage aircraft and memorabilia. Teuge is a unique destination for adventure seekers and anyone wanting a bird's-eye view of the Dutch landscape.
