Erected in memory of King William III, who died in 1890, the monument stands about 10 meters tall and is made of natural stone. The site offers a peaceful spot for reflection, with benches and well-maintained greenery. While not a major tourist attraction, it provides a glimpse into Dutch royal history and is often included in walking tours of the city. Visitors can admire the simple neoclassical design and the inscription honoring the king. The surrounding area is pleasant for a short stroll, especially in spring when flowers bloom.
