Kuthodaw Pagoda is famous for its 729 marble tablets, each housed in a small white stupa, that together contain the entire Tripitaka (Buddhist scriptures). These slabs are considered the world's largest book. The pagoda itself is a large, peaceful complex with a central golden stupa surrounded by the rows of miniature stupas. Visitors can walk among the stone scriptures, marveling at the meticulous carving and the sheer scale of the project, which was completed in the 19th century.

Don't miss
