Marchica (also known as Sebkha Bou Areg) is a vast lagoon ecosystem on Morocco's Mediterranean coast, just east of Nador. Designated as a nature reserve, it is a haven for birdwatchers, hosting flamingos, herons, and other migratory birds. The calm, shallow waters are ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing. Visitors can walk along the lagoon's edge, enjoy the peaceful scenery, and spot diverse wildlife. The area also features a new marina and resort developments.
