The Royal Palace of Fez, known as Dar al-Makhzen, is a sprawling complex that serves as the official residence of the King of Morocco when in Fez. Visitors are drawn to its stunning entrance, featuring seven enormous brass doors adorned with intricate carvings and surrounded by zellij tilework and carved cedar. While the palace interior is not open to the public, the exterior alone offers a breathtaking display of Moroccan artistry. The vast plaza in front provides a perfect vantage point for photos and a sense of the palace's grandeur.
