Debeli Namet is a small but significant glacier clinging to the northern slopes of the Durmitor range, recognized as one of the southernmost glacial formations on the continent. Visitors can hike to its vicinity across rocky terrain, where the ice field contrasts with the surrounding limestone peaks and alpine meadows. The site offers a tangible connection to the Ice Age and a unique vantage point over the surrounding wilderness. Due to climate change, the glacier has been receding, making a visit here both a scenic adventure and a witness to ongoing environmental change.
