Sveti Đorđe Island is a small natural island in the Bay of Kotor, located opposite the town of Perast. It is home to a centuries-old Benedictine monastery, which gives the island a serene, spiritual atmosphere. Unlike the nearby artificial Our Lady of the Rocks, Sveti Đorđe remains largely untouched and is not open to the public, but visitors can admire it from boat tours or from the Perast promenade. The island is covered in lush cypress trees, creating a picturesque silhouette against the bay. Its isolation and history make it a symbol of the region's monastic heritage.
