Sveti Marko Island is a small, uninhabited island located in the central part of the Bay of Kotor, near the town of Tivat. Once a popular tourist resort in the Yugoslav era, the island now lies abandoned, with its former hotel and villas slowly being reclaimed by nature. The island is encircled by pebble and sandy beaches, and the surrounding waters are exceptionally clear, making it a favorite spot for swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking. Visitors can explore the overgrown pathways and ruins, adding a sense of adventure. The island is accessible only by boat, and its tranquility offers a stark contrast to the more crowded coastal towns.
