St Martin Gardens (Jardins Saint-Martin) are a tranquil oasis perched on the southern tip of the Rock of Monaco, just below the Oceanographic Museum. These terraced gardens were created in the early 19th century and are filled with a rich collection of Mediterranean flora, including olive trees, cypresses, agaves, and vibrant flowers. Winding paths lead visitors through shaded groves, past statues and fountains, to lookouts that offer spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and the coast of France. The gardens are a favorite spot for a peaceful stroll, a quiet read, or simply to enjoy the scent of pine and sea air. They also house a small playground and several benches, making them ideal for families. The contrast between the formal landscaping and the wild cliff edge creates a unique atmosphere, blending nature with the grandeur of Monaco.
