Real de Catorce is a former silver mining boomtown nestled high in the Sierra Madre Oriental. Now a Pueblo Mágico, it enchants visitors with its cobblestone streets, crumbling stone buildings, and the striking Parroquia de la Purísima Concepción, a neoclassical church that dominates the main plaza. Visitors can explore the old mint, ride horses through the surrounding desert, or take the legendary tunnel that leads into town. Its remote, almost ghostly atmosphere makes it a unique destination for history buffs and spiritual seekers alike.

Don't miss

  • Admire the neoclassical Parroquia de la Purísima Concepción on the main plaza
  • Walk through the historic Ogarrio Tunnel, the only road entrance to town
  • Visit the abandoned Hacienda de la Purísima and old mining structures
