The Puerto Morelos Lighthouse, also known as the Faro Inclinado, is a distinctive leaning structure that has become an iconic symbol of the town. Built in the early 20th century, it was damaged by Hurricane Beulah in 1967, causing it to tilt. Visitors can climb to the top for sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea and the surrounding town. The lighthouse is located near the beach and is a popular spot for photos, especially at sunset.
Don't miss
- Climb the lighthouse stairs for a panoramic view of the coastline and town.
- Photograph the unique leaning tower, a result of hurricane damage.
- Visit the small museum inside the lighthouse to learn about its history.
