Tocuaro, a small village hugging the shores of Lake Pátzcuaro, is a hub for mask-making and folk art. Artisans here carve and paint wooden masks used in traditional dances and Day of the Dead celebrations. Visitors can watch craftsmen at work in their talleres (workshops), see finished masks in vivid colors, and purchase unique souvenirs. The village also has a charming church and a peaceful lakeside atmosphere, with views of the water and nearby islands.
