Corps de Garde is a prominent mountain and nature reserve near Flic en Flac, named for its historic role as a lookout. The hike is steeper and more demanding than Rempart, but the reward is a breathtaking 360-degree view from the summit, encompassing the entire west coast from Tamarin to Le Morne, plus the inland mountains. The trail traverses a protected reserve with dry forest, giant boulders, and occasional wildlife. It's a favorite among local hikers for its sense of accomplishment and the stunning perspective it offers on Mauritius' diverse landscape.
