The Grandmaster's Palace in Valletta is a magnificent 16th-century building that served as the residence of the Grand Masters of the Knights of St John. Today it houses the Office of the President, but visitors can tour the state apartments, adorned with frescoes, tapestries, and period furniture, as well as the Palace Armoury, one of the world's largest collections of arms and armor. The palace's courtyards and corridors offer a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the Knights and the political heart of Malta.
