The Rotunda of Mosta, officially the Sanctuary of the Assumption, is a neoclassical church completed in the 1860s. Its massive unsupported dome, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, spans 37 meters. Visitors marvel at the interior's elegant simplicity and the replica of the WWII bomb that fell through the dome during a 1942 service but miraculously did not detonate. The church remains an active place of worship, offering a serene atmosphere for reflection.
