The Rotunda of Mosta, officially the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, dominates the skyline of Mosta. Its colossal dome, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, spans 37 meters and is a marvel of 19th-century engineering. The interior is light and spacious, with a simple yet elegant design. The church's most famous story is the 1942 miracle when a German bomb pierced the dome during Mass but did not detonate, sparing 300 people. A replica of the bomb is displayed in the sacristy. Visitors can climb to the dome's base for panoramic views.
