Mellieħa Bay, also known as Għadira Bay, is the largest sandy beach in Malta, stretching over 800 meters along the coast. Its shallow, calm waters make it particularly safe for children and less confident swimmers. The beach is well-equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, and a range of water sports facilities including windsurfing, kayaking, and banana boat rides. Several restaurants and snack bars line the promenade, and the nearby nature reserve offers a quiet escape. It's a bustling, family-friendly destination with a lively atmosphere.
Don't miss
- Swim in the shallow, calm waters perfect for families
- Try windsurfing or kayaking at the water sports center
- Stroll along the promenade and enjoy beachside dining
