The Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum is a remarkable underground complex dating back to around 4000 BC, discovered in 1902. This UNESCO World Heritage site features a series of chambers carved from rock, used for burial and ritual purposes. Visitors descend into the cool, dimly lit spaces to see intricate carvings, red ochre paintings, and the famous 'Sleeping Lady' figurine.
