Clan Jetties

The Clan Jetties are a series of wooden villages on stilts over the sea, each established by a different Chinese clan. Visitors can walk along the narrow boardwalks, passing homes, small temples, and clan halls. The most famous is Chew Jetty, with souvenir shops and cafes. This living heritage site offers a unique contrast to modern George Town, showcasing a communal lifestyle that has endured for generations.
