Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, founded in the 17th century, is a masterpiece of traditional Chinese architecture and the oldest still-active Chinese temple in Malaysia. Dedicated to the deities Kuan Yin (Goddess of Mercy), Kuan Ti (God of War), and Ma Cho Poh (Goddess of the Sea), the temple features intricate woodcarvings, porcelain figures, and a stunning main hall with a golden altar. Visitors can admire the ornate roof ridges adorned with dragons and phoenixes, and explore the peaceful courtyard with its ancient trees and stone inscriptions.
