Somehow ended up in the area after visiting a relative and pleased to find this gem! The lasagna and pasta were really good, I wished we had more stomach space to order other items on the menu! I'm such a fan of Italian food and halal authentic ones can be hard to find, so I'm extra grateful for this. The staff was prompt and attentive, but I hope they'd be more proactive in recommending the dishes. Had to ask every little detail before deciding on our order because we're not familiar with some of them. Hope they'd train their staff to be able to give out recommendations tailored on patrons' needs.
This place is very hyped up with a lot of social media attention which is why I gave it a try. The promise of authentic italian pasta (halal) is sure to draw in large crowds, but I was left disappointed after my meal. The pasta just wasn't that great. Seafood was overcooked, sauce was just so-so. And the price is just way too high for the average quality food. I gave it a try but I probably won't be coming back.
The pizza is very good.. And the waitress Farra is very friendly and gives many advice. You need to book in advance. Its always full. Thank you!!
Positano is our family’s favorite halal Italian restaurant in Mont Kiara. We would once a month or once every two months. Luca, Jevan, and Terrence are still the best service team. Today, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We hadn’t visited in 2 months. I will explain why I gave it 4 stars (even though it would be 5 stars). Starters: Salad and beef carpaccio were great. Carpaccio was salty and opened up the tastebuds Mains: First, we had the Vongole and Carbonara. Vongole was delicious and as my enjoyed it. I ordered the carbonara hoping it was our usual. I was explained the carbonara had changed in October. I took a bite and asked it to be taken to the back for take away. It was a drastic change from the OG carbonara I had known. Second, Terrence, saved the day and recommended the lamb ragu and roast chicken. They were asI remembered it. Really delicious made our day. Loved the chicken gravy and the crispiness of the chicken. And the lamb Ragu was tender and soft with great bounce on the homemade pasta. I will go back to positano but for the other dishes. It’s sad to hear some originals or old regulars can’t have their old carbonara. I also heard they may change the lobster ravioli. Please don’t. Stay as the one true authentic halal Italian restaurant . Mr Imran, if we can have our old carbonara back please.
