This was my second visit to this French fine dining restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. We came in a group of 7 and were seated at a window table with a nice view of the city. Being in a large group, we got to taste more dishes. The food was great, and I had my three favourite dishes: Starter - Scallop & Carabineros Main - Turbot & Morel Main - Duck & Orange Each was beautifully presented and packed with exquisite flavours. The environment of the restaurant was elegant and inviting, and the service was great too. Staff were really friendly and attentive. This place is perfect for both romantic dinners and group celebrations. Highly recommended!
This place serves very well presented food. But don't be fooled as the taste can be totally different from what you expect in a good way. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch here from the presentation to the unexpected great tasting food. Will recommend people to try the escargot, pumpkin and smoked sturgeon, strozzapreti & seafood, lamb belly and the mango and pistachio deserts.
As food is subjective and personal, an honourable mention by Michelin does not guarantee that the food is to your taste of liking, but what it should guarantee is a standard of service, level of restaurant operations, and food quality, none of which were displayed by Entier last night (12th Sept) We may have just caught them on a bad night, however this has to have been one of the worst displays of restaurant etiquette i've seen when encountering a patron (celebrating her 50th birthday) with a serious food hygiene issue. How a restaurant handles such issues is a mark of the calibre of the culture of the head chef and down through his staff, and i am shocked that such a noted restaurant falls way short of what should be expected of them and for this i advise caution when considering Entier. The subjective part of this review regarding the food is that it looks more impressive than its taste, however some of the dishes we had were noteworthy, especially the lamb belly and escargot, however on the downside the Foie Gras seemed in conflict of flavour with the accompanying eel. One of my favourites, the Hokkaido scallops were done just right, but the accompanying saffron rice just lacked flavour, but was cooked well. The thing possibly saving a 1 star review is the wine list, which has enough wine by the glass options to help you create your own pairing flight of wines, so that was the plus point of what turned out to be a very disappointing evening leaving us to remember a 50th birthday celebration for all the wrong reasons.
This restaurant purports to be a Michelin guide restaurant. The food matches up to this and the location (great view) is good, but the service was very poor indeed. The staff had good intentions and seem pleasant but are completely clueless. Wine was left at the table unopened for 30 mins after being ordered (we opened it ourselves in the end), sides were served with the starters, no effort was made to take drinks orders to pair with mains, red wine was served ice cold, we were interrupted during the main course to give desert orders. Paying was a complete debacle - splitting the bill three ways seemed impossible. Overall, the experience was really poor and out of keeping with the level of this restaurant. Needs a lot of work!
