I celebrated my birthday at Skillet in KL recently, and it was a truly memorable experience. I enjoyed their Autumn/Winter seasonal menu this time around, and every dish I tried was exceptional. For my main course, I had the snapper fish, beautifully flavored with white radish, sauerkraut, and a touch of Shaoxing wine, a superb combination of flavors! The attention to detail, creative menu, and quality of the food made the evening special. Highly recommend Skillet for an elevated dining experience in KL
Dining here was a remarkable journey, elevated by the exceptional staff – special thanks to Chelle, Shaun, Princess, and, of course, Chef Erick. Their dedication and passion shone through, making us feel warmly welcomed from the start. Every dish was a masterpiece, crafted with precision and packed with unforgettable flavors, each one reflecting Chef Erick’s culinary artistry. Thank you to the entire team for this delightful experience.
It felt like a deception behind the Michelin star and I really can't understand the many excellent reviews on the website - honestly I can't smile after being ripped off, big time!! My wife gave me a birthday treat and I really felt bad for her when I saw the bill - RM1800+ for: -3 better than average starters -1 entre with 2 small pieces of overcooked Wagyu (see pic) at extra RM200 (ie that dish cost at least RM400). - 4 glasses of (pairing) wine (RM280); server says that 2 whites are less than 50 ml because its a tasting menu!! Btw, my wife did not have any wine - chef Eric was away and we were greeted by a really young Caucasian who didn't seem to know what he was saying & we couldn't hear what he was murmuring. The other staff were generally ok. If I could I would bring this to the Tribunal court and file a complaint with the authorities. Consumers should not be deceived by equating Fine dining with ridiculously expensive average food.
Unfortunately for them it was a quiet evening, lucky for me i was able to get a last minute reservation. What a great culinary journey it was. The amuses where real art work and tasted great. The whole menu was amazing! As a main I had the duck and that was the best duck i ever had. The jus was totally 100a% complementair. I am pretty sure they are going for their first star soon!
