KL Forest Eco Park

The KL Forest Eco Park, also known as Bukit Nanas, is one of the oldest permanent forest reserves in Malaysia, offering a surprising escape from the urban bustle of Kuala Lumpur. Located near the KL Tower, this 10.5-hectare patch of primary rainforest is home to diverse flora and fauna, including monkeys, birds, and ancient trees. The main attraction is the 200-meter-long canopy walkway, suspended 30 meters above the forest floor, providing a bird's-eye view of the treetops and the city skyline beyond. Visitors can explore several well-marked trails, ranging from easy to moderate, that wind through the dense jungle. The park also features a small botanical garden and a visitor center with educational displays. Despite its central location, the park feels remote, with the sounds of traffic muffled by the thick foliage. A bit of history

Established in 1906 as a forest reserve, Bukit Nanas (Pineapple Hill) was originally a site for a telegraph station. It has been preserved as a green lung for Kuala Lumpur and is now managed by the Malaysian Forestry Department.
