✨ HighlightOur first time here in Chynna. The moment we were seated we were greeted by the staff who pour us our Welcome Tea - Ginseng tea with red dates I think. Started with Dim Sum - really fresh and yummy. Followed by Main Dishes ie Roasted London Duck served with braised peanuts and plum sauce, casserole Braised Bean Curd with seafood and veg (the bean curd is really tasty) and Wok seared Lamb Cutlets 👍 & Double Boiled Chicken Soup with sun-dried scallop and five finger fig root. Happy with the staff service especially Celine who is pleasant and smiley! Will go back again.→

✨ HighlightTraditional Chinese cuisine food since 1948. The foods are excellent to me. I tried the Shark Fin Omelette (桂花翅), lot of crab meats and good aroma. The Sweet Sour pork is crispy externally and soft internally. And the prawn spring roll also crispy hot externally but cold and fresh internally. Price is reasonable but you have to find parking else where and walk here.→

✨ HighlightBooked for two when I was on vacation in Malaysia last August 2024. The staff was very accommodating and friendly; they were very attentive. Food was amazing! Out of the courses, I particularly enjoyed the scallops. My partner liked the fish the most. There are parts of the show that are interactive, which we also enjoyed. While it is pricey, I feel like they do justice with their service and great quality of food.→

The green soup was made of basil, mint and sesame, paired with crunchy green beans, soft black eye peas, rice and other textures. they only used local free range chickens. The Wine Chicken was a fermentation with red yeast, made in house. the owner stopped to talk to us too! overall we had 6 entrees and drinks for $30USD→

✨ HighlightTasty food, convenient location to malls nearby. Siew mai were packed tightly and full, similarly with har gao. Fried radish cake takes the top spot - flavour is strong and well fried. Egg tarts have a very bouncy filling that is delicious to eat and not overly sweet, and the crust is flaky and light. Atmosphere is standard, and service is friendly and approachable. Overall a very nice place to eat at, especially for supper as well→

✨ HighlightLi Yen Restaurant, located in a hotel, offers a truly refined dining experience. The food is undeniably delicious, made with incredibly fresh ingredients that give every bite a rich, satisfying texture. While I may not be able to fully appreciate the high-end nature of the cuisine, there’s no denying the quality of the dishes. However, I feel that even at a regular dim sum shop, I’d also be quite happy. The taste at Li Yen is exceptional, but the price tag makes it hard to justify frequent visits. Each dish is quite expensive—expect to spend around RM200+ per person. That said, for those looking to experience something luxurious at least once in their lifetime, this restaurant is definitely worth a try. The ambiance and service are, of course, top-notch, as you’d expect from a five-star hotel. However, it’s not the easiest place to find—it took us quite a bit of wandering to finally locate it. If you don’t have someone to guide you, it can be a bit of a challenge to navigate. One dish that stood out to me was their snow skin mooncake. It was absolutely delightful, though it comes at a price—about RM25 for just one piece. Similarly, the dumplings were delicious, but at RM25 for four pieces, it’s certainly not something I could afford regularly. The same goes for the siu mai, which is also RM25 for four. As much as I enjoyed the food, the price does make it difficult to recommend it as a regular dining spot. Overall, Li Yen is a great option if you’re looking for a special occasion meal in an elegant setting. Just keep in mind that it’s on the pricier side, so it might not be for everyone. But if you’re seeking a taste of luxury, it’s certainly a place to consider!→
