Antsiranana Bay is one of the largest and deepest natural harbors in the world, framed by rugged hills and fringed with white-sand beaches. The bay's calm, turquoise waters are perfect for sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking, while its sheltered coves offer serene swimming spots. Visitors can take boat excursions to explore the bay's mangrove-lined shores, spot dolphins and humpback whales (July to September), and visit small fishing villages. The bay also features several islands, such as Nosy Lonja and Nosy Hara, known for their pristine beaches and birdlife.
Don't miss
- Sail or kayak across the bay to discover hidden coves and secluded beaches.
- Join a whale-watching tour from July to September to see humpback whales in the bay.
- Visit the Three Bays area (Baie des Dunes, Baie des Pigeons, and Baie des Sakalava) for swimming and snorkeling.
