Bettendorf Castle is an elegant Renaissance-style château located in the village of Bettendorf, just a short drive from Vianden. Surrounded by a beautifully landscaped park with mature trees and manicured lawns, the castle presents a refined contrast to the region's more rugged medieval fortresses. The current structure dates largely from the 16th and 17th centuries, with later renovations giving it a harmonious, symmetrical facade. While the castle is privately owned and not regularly open to the public, it occasionally hosts concerts, exhibitions, and weddings, allowing visitors a rare glimpse inside. The park is accessible year-round and is a lovely spot for a stroll or a picnic. The castle's picturesque setting along the Sauer River adds to its charm.
