Diekirch is a charming town situated along the Sauer River, just north of Ettelbruck. It is best known as the home of Diekirch Brewery, which produces one of Luxembourg's most popular beers. The town also houses the National Museum of Military History, which offers a detailed look at the Battle of the Bulge and World War II in the region. Visitors can explore the old town with its pedestrian streets, traditional houses, and the Gothic-style Church of Saint Laurent. Diekirch's annual carnival, held in February or March, is one of the largest in Luxembourg, featuring parades, costumes, and street parties.
