Vytautas the Great War Museum, located in Kaunas, is Lithuania's oldest and largest military museum, founded in 1921. It chronicles the country's military past from medieval times through the interwar period and the struggles for independence. The museum's extensive collection includes medieval armor, World War I and II artifacts, and a hall dedicated to the Lithuanian Armed Forces. Outside, an open-air exhibition displays tanks, aircraft, and artillery pieces. The museum also houses a memorial to Lithuanian soldiers and a small chapel.
