Ellhorn is a prominent mountain located in Switzerland, just across the border from Balzers, Liechtenstein. Its striking, conical shape makes it a recognizable landmark in the region. The mountain rises to about 1,139 meters and is a favorite destination for hikers seeking moderate climbs with rewarding views. Trails to the summit start from the St. Luzisteig Pass area and wind through forests and rocky slopes. At the top, visitors are treated to a 360-degree panorama of the Rhine Valley, the Liechtenstein Alps, and the Swiss plateau. The hike is relatively short but steep, making it suitable for those with a reasonable fitness level. Ellhorn is also a popular spot for paragliding due to its favorable winds and open summit.
