The Arch of Marcus Aurelius is a four-sided marble arch erected in 165 AD to honor the Roman emperor and his co-emperor Lucius Verus. It is one of the few surviving Roman structures in Tripoli, originally part of the city of Oea. The arch features intricate reliefs depicting victories and mythological scenes, and its central passageway once marked a major crossroads. Despite urban development, the monument remains remarkably intact, offering visitors a tangible link to Libya's Roman heritage. It is a must-see for history enthusiasts exploring the city.
