The Sidon Mithraeum is a rare Roman-era temple carved directly into a rock face, dedicated to the mystery cult of Mithras. Visitors can see the main chamber with its iconic tauroctony relief depicting Mithras slaying a bull, along with other carved figures and altars. The site's secluded location and atmospheric setting offer a glimpse into ancient religious practices. Unlike many Mithraea, this one is partially open to the sky, making it a distinctive archaeological site in Lebanon.
