Its centerpiece is the Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that protects one of the last remaining ancient cedar forests in the country. Visitors can hike through trails shaded by towering cedars, some over a thousand years old, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. The reserve also hosts diverse wildlife, including wolves and wild boars. Beyond nature, the district features traditional villages, terraced farms, and historic sites like Deir el Qamar.
