Ventspils Lighthouse, built in 1863, stands at the mouth of the Venta River and guides ships into the port. This distinctive red-and-white striped cast-iron tower is 33 meters tall and open to visitors during summer. Climbing the spiral staircase rewards you with sweeping views of the Baltic Sea, the sandy beach, and the busy harbor. The lighthouse is a beloved symbol of the city and a perfect spot for photography, especially at sunset.
