Bastejkalns Park is a green oasis in central Riga, connecting the Old Town with the city's boulevard district. The park's centerpiece is a canal originally part of the city's fortifications, now lined with weeping willows and crossed by charming footbridges. Visitors can stroll along paved paths, admire the formal rose garden in bloom (June–September), or relax on benches under mature trees. The park also features a small waterfall and sculptures. Its location near the Freedom Monument makes it a natural stop for a peaceful break amid sightseeing.
