Ala-Too Square is the heart of Bishkek, a vast open plaza where locals gather for holidays, concerts, and political events. At its center stands a striking bronze statue of Manas, the legendary Kyrgyz warrior, replacing a Soviet-era Lenin monument. Visitors can watch the hourly changing of the guard, admire the surrounding government buildings, and feel the pulse of the city. The square is especially lively on Independence Day and during New Year celebrations.
