Tell el-Kheleifeh is an ancient tell (mound) located near Aqaba, identified by many scholars as the biblical port of Ezion-Geber, from which King Solomon launched maritime expeditions. Excavations have revealed remains from the Iron Age, including a fortified settlement, copper smelting furnaces, and pottery fragments.
