The Ayn Ghazal statues, discovered in the Amman suburb of Ayn Ghazal, are remarkable Neolithic artifacts dating to around 7500 BC. These plaster figures, some over a meter tall, are among the earliest known large-scale representations of the human form. Visitors can view the statues at the Jordan Museum in Amman, where they are displayed in a dimly lit gallery to preserve their fragile condition. The figures, with their distinctive painted eyes and stylized features, offer a rare glimpse into prehistoric art and ritual.
