Dainichi-ji is the fifth temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, a 1,200-year-old route. Its main hall enshrines a statue of Dainichi Nyorai, the Cosmic Buddha, which is rarely on public display. The temple grounds include an octagonal hall called the Hōjō, used for ceremonies and meditation. Pilgrims in white robes often chant sutras here, and the temple's quiet courtyard, dotted with stone lanterns, invites reflection. The temple also offers stamp (shuin) services for pilgrimage notebooks.
