The Innoshima Bridge is a graceful suspension bridge that spans the strait between Honshu and Innoshima Island, forming a key link in the Shimanami Kaido cycling and driving route. Completed in 1983, its twin towers and sweeping cables create an elegant silhouette against the sky. Cyclists and pedestrians can cross the bridge on a dedicated path, enjoying panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea and surrounding islands. The bridge is especially photogenic at sunset when the light glints off the water.
Don't miss
- Cycle or walk across the bridge on the dedicated Shimanami Kaido path
