Hōtoku Ninomiya Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Ninomiya Sontoku, a 19th-century agricultural philosopher who promoted self-reliance and rural development. The shrine is located in a peaceful wooded area near Odawara Castle, offering a calm retreat from the city. Visitors can see the main hall, a statue of Ninomiya as a boy reading while carrying firewood, and a small museum displaying his writings and tools. The shrine grounds are especially pleasant during cherry blossom season.
